AKC Signature Seeker of Gryffindor aka “Potter”

Potter holds the distinction of being our first Berner! He was adopted from Dawn Hitchcock of Tallpines Bernese Mountain Dogs. He was named Potter after J K Rowlings’ book series, Harry Potter. He was a perfect fit with our family, and he quickly became all my son had hoped for in a big dog. He displayed the typical love for his humans and the intelligence of the breed by climbing a 10 foot ladder from our backyard where he was to us on the driveway. For Berners, Potter had a long life and is still missed by us. He crossed over the rainbow bridge at ten years of age.
AKC Signature Stock of Elon aka “Tesla or Tessie”

Our beloved Tessie is everything we all wanted in our next Berner- a walking companion and show dog for me and a family companion. We adopted her from Sandra Rooks of Whispering Cove Bernese Mountain Dogs. We jokingly tease that her name should have been Velcro, because she’s always attached to someone! But she was named Tesla, after the electric car company. She will do almost anything for Cheetos or pizza crust. Some of her favorite things to do are play tug-of-war, fetch, and snuggle with you on the couch and in bed at night. She even stops to smell the flowers when out on walks! Tessie whelped her first litter on the day after Christmas, 12/26/20. She is an awesome mom, but after such a tough delivery, this will be her last. Since she is so athletic, I’m excited to begin a new chapter with her in the agility ring. Most of all, Tessie makes our life complete!
